Tammy Pennington, MD, PLLC
Tammy Pennington was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1994 from the University of Louisville. After working in healthcare for a few years she decided to return to school. She graduated from the University of Louisville Medical School in 2005. During that time she received the "S. Spafford Ackerly Award for Outstanding Performance in Psychiatry". Dr. Pennington completed her Psychiatric Residency training from the University of Louisville in June 2009. During her training at the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences she received the following awards: "Post graduate year-2 Inpatient Psychiatry Award", "Harvey R. St. Clair, M.D. Award in Psychodynamics" and "The Dr. Henry P. and M. Page Durkee Laughlin Foundation Award of Distinguished Laughlin Fellow for 2009". During her residency at the University of Louisville she had the privilege of training under a number of accomplished, very distinguished and nationally recognized physicians in the field of Psychiatry. Dr. Pennington chose the field of Psychiatry as a result of her dedication and commitment to helping those in need of mental health services. She is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr. Pennington is available for appointments Mondays and Tuesdays.

Stephen Taylor, MD, PLLC

Dr. Taylor is available for appointments Monday through Thursday.

Michael Thompson, MD, PLLC
Michael Thompson was born and raised in Louisville, graduating from Trinity High School. He attended the University of Kentucky, graduating Magna Cum Laude with Bachelor's degrees in both Psychology and Biology. He received his Medical Doctorate from the University Of Kentucky College Of Medicine in 2005. He completed his Psychiatry Residency training at the University of Louisville Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. While there, he gained knowledge and experience serving and treating the mental health needs of this community. Dr. Thompson served as Chief-Resident of the Department of Psychiatry in 2008.
Since its opening in 2009, Dr. Thompson has been in practice at River City Psychiatry. His style combines utilizing psychotherapy techniques with customized medication management. His follow-up appointments typically last 25 minutes to allow for time to discuss current stresses , coping mechanisms, and medication options that help improve his patient’s life.
Dr. Thompson has enjoyed working with adult men and women in this community for several years. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. His current office hours are on Tuesdays through Fridays, with most appointments available in the early mornings and late afternoons, and midday on Fridays. When not in the office he provides services through telepsychiatry to underserved areas in different parts of the country.

Tanya D. Wozniak, MD, PLLC
Originally from Lexington, Dr. Wozniak moved to Louisville to attend Bellarmine University where she also played soccer. She received her medical education and residency training at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. Together with her colleagues, she started River City Psychiatry in 2009 upon completion of residency training and has been in practice here ever since. Dr. Wozniak is a Board Certified adult psychiatrist who commonly treats people with adult ADHD, PTSD, mood disorders such as bipolar and depression, and anxiety disorders. She also has a special interest in treating athletes with mental illness and is a member of the International Society for Sport Psychiatry. She collaborates with patients, and other providers/therapists when necessary, to create a customized treatment plan for each individual. Dr. Wozniak is available for appointments Monday through Thursday.
